About

Software engineer and creative coder

Hi, I’m Federico Del Gaudio. I build software where engineering, design, and creative exploration meet.

I enjoy turning complicated workflows into tools that feel direct and understandable. My work ranges from terminal interfaces and local developer tooling to interactive experiences that blend technology and art.

What I build

Many of my current projects are small, focused tools written in Rust. They explore local-first workflows, terminal user interfaces, automation, and ways to keep developers in control of their data and processes.

  • Norn: a local-first workspace for structured code and pull-request reviews.
  • hum: a daemonless launcher and monitor for multi-service development environments.
  • chtrs: a fast terminal reference for personal command and shortcut cheat sheets.

You can find the complete collection on the projects page.

How I work

I value software that is explicit about what it does, remains useful without unnecessary infrastructure, and respects the boundary between assistance and control. I prefer simple interfaces backed by well-defined behavior, durable local state, and documentation that can be followed without knowing the implementation first.
